2023 Peugeot 3008 Will Be All-Electric

2023 Peugeot 3008 Featured

The segment of compact cars has always been vastly important for the French manufacturer and things certainly won’t change in the future. That’s why the company puts lots of effort into the next-generation 3008, which should arrive around 2023. The compact crossover has been around since 2008. We have seen two generations of it so far, and the current model has been around for about three years. The next generation is expected to come as the 2023 Peugeot 3008 and if we can rely on the latest reports, it will bring loads of interesting novelties.

Of course, the 2023 Peugeot 3008 will come with a completely new design but what’s more important is that the new model will be all-electric. It will be built on a completely new platform, designed to accommodate electric drivetrains on purpose. On the other side, the future of internal combustion engines is still unknown.

2023 Peugeot 3008 Redesign

In terms of base design characteristics, it’s still early to talk about more specific details of the 2023 Peugeot 3008. From what we know so far, the new crossover will get a brand-new platform, designed for electric cars on purpose. In terms of styling and interior design, we can only speculate.

Therefore, we presume that the styling will take a lot of inspiration from the Instinct concept, which was presented a couple of years ago. We count on the same massive grille and those large vertical lighting groups, though everything will probably be toned down for a bit. In terms of the size, we count on a couple of more inches in the wheelbase and overall length, though nothing drastic should happen.

When it comes to interior design, there is really no point to speculate at this point, as the new model is years away from production and interiors usually come last. Still, we have no doubt that the French manufacturer will once again surprise us with creativity and unusual design solution. Naturally, loads of hi-tech goodies are about to come as well.

2023 Peugeot 3008 Goes All-Electric

Obviously, the biggest novelty will be a new drivetrain. From what we know at this point, the 2023 Peugeot 3008 will be available as an electric car only. We still don’t know the details, but it looks like base versions will be good for about 200 horsepower. We presume that would be a single electric motor layout, while higher trim levels will probably get help from the additional electric motor(s). Details about the battery and range are still unavailable.

Release Date

Most likely, the 2023 Peugeot 3008 will arrive in about three years. We are still waiting for the official confirmation. Meanwhile, the current generation will remain in production and we presume that the next year will bring a couple of updates. It looks like we are about to see a typical facelift. It will bring novelties in terms of the styling, particularly at the front. Besides the styling, the updated version will probably come with some additions in terms of tech features and standard equipment. On the other side, the mechanical aspect of the car shouldn’t change.
