The current, second-generation Aviator came after a pretty long hiatus and it amazed the car world with its combination of luxury and performance. However, it’s been three years since that launch, so it’s no wonder that many sources suggest updates for the 2023 Lincoln Aviator, which will represent the fourth production year. At this point, the officials are still quiet but we may presume that certain changes in terms of styling would occur. Also, we presume that the company would offer more features, or maybe some interior updates.
In any case, the overall layout will remain the same. The 2023 Lincoln Aviator will continue with two very capable powertrain options and a pretty smooth and comfortable ride. This SUV also comes with a great interior design, as well as a pretty generous cargo area. Furthermore, the infotainment system is easy to use.

As we already mentioned, the 2023 Lincoln Aviator could easily come with some updates. The officials are quiet but rumors suggest a mid-cycle refresh. This indicates different changes, but mostly in terms of styling. We presume that the majority of changes would happen at the front, where we could see subtle revisions in terms of headlights, grille etc.
On the other hand, the mechanical aspect of the vehicle will remain the same. This SUV is based on the company’s familiar CD6 platform and shares most of its parts with Ford Explorer. However, it also comes with lots of upgrades, particularly in terms of suspension setup. As a result, the ride is very smooth and absorbs road imperfections with ease. The handling is composed though we have to say that German rivals offer a higher level of athleticism.
Interior
On the inside, the 2023 Lincoln Aviator probably won’t bring bigger changes. We expect to see a familiar cabin layout, though things like new color schemes and materials could be introduced. 2023 Lincoln Aviator Engines
On the other hand, we don’t expect to see changes under the hood. You may count on two familiar powertrain options. The offer will start with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, which puts out 400 horsepower. Driving dynamics are great but the optional plug-in hybrid powertrain offers even better performance. It combines the same engine with an electric motor, for a total output of 494 horsepower and a pretty impressive 630 pound-feet of torque. Both units come in pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
When it comes to fuel economy, the base engine returns around 18 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. On the other hand, the PHEV comes with a 13.6-kWh battery pack, which ensures around 21 miles of the all-electric range.
