It is by far the biggest money maker for this Italian brand and that’s why its engineers are putting special attention to the upcoming refresh. The 2023 Lamborghini Urus is about to receive a mid-cycle update, which should keep it fresh and competitive in the segment which will soon get another huge newcomer, the Ferrari Purosangue.
Although most changes we are about to see in the 2023 Lamborghini Urus will be quite subtle, this will actually be a pretty comprehensive update. It will bring novelties in various aspects. Of course, we are about to see some styling updates, but you may expect interior updates as well. Also, novelties will come under the hood. We are about to see a slight power boost, while some sources also speculate about the hybrid version.

2023 Lamborghini Urus Design
As we’ve just mentioned, the 2023 Lamborghini Urus is about to receive a mid-cycle refresh. Just a few weeks ago, we saw the test mule without camouflage for the first time. It shows a couple of interesting visual updates, particularly at the front end. There, you can see new air intakes on the outer edges, which should improve air flow even more. Also, there is a new hood design, with a new shape and new aid intakes as well.
The rest of the vehicle, though, remains essentially the same. Still, we count on typical mid-cycle updates, such as new wheels and color options. On the other hand, the mechanical aspect of the vehicle won’t change. This model rides on the familiar MLB platform of the VW Group and shares most of the parts with Porsche Cayenne. However, it also features a lot of exlusive parts, which justify its significantly higher price tag.
Interior
Although we still didn’t get a chance to check the test model’s interior, we presume that some updates will come. This particularly refers to the new features, starting from an updated infotainment screen and software. Also, some sources suggest new driver-assistance features. On the other hand, the visual aspect may include updates like new color schemes and materials, but most of the cabin will remain the same.
Therefore, you may count on a familiar layout, which includes a couple of pretty spacious rows of seats. The Urus is generous from the inside and accommodates adults in both rows of seats.
2023 Lamborghini Urus Engine
So far, the 2023 Lamborghini Urus was offered exclusively with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with a max output of 641 horsepower. That amount of power was enough to provide 0-60 sprint in just 3.5 seconds, which made Urus one of the quickest SUVs around. The next year’s update will bring further upgrades, as some sources suggest a power increase to 655 horsepower. The engine will continue in pair with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
However, that’s not all. Many sources also suggest a hybrid powertrain to be offered. That model would feature the same system as the Cayenne Hybrid, which combines a V8 engine with electric motors, for a total output of 671 horsepower. Of course, the Urus may come with even more power, we presume.

The test mule seems almost production ready, so we have no doubt that the 2023 Lamborghini Urus will hit the market by the end of the year. We expect that the starting price will go around 230.000 dollars
