2023 Ford Everest Redesign: USA, Sport, Specs, Price, Release Date, Platinum

Despite the unbelievable crossover mania, we are witnessing these days, drivers from some parts of the world simply don’t want to give up on good-old body-on-frame SUVs. This particularly refers to the Australian market, where off-road performance and utility are still much higher on the priority list than things like comfort and convenience. Therefore, it’s no wonder that the 2023 Ford Everest is coming completely redesigned. The new model is on the way and it is expected to hit the market this fall.

This redesign will bring lots of novelties. Although the overall design will be based on the updated T6 platform, we will see a completely new design, both in terms of mechanics and aesthetics. Furthermore, the Blue Oval company has prepared new powertrain options, along with a new cabin design, new tech features and many more. Besides Australia, the all-new 2023 Ford Everest will be offered in markets like Thailand, China, India, South Africa etc.

2023 Ford Everest Redesign

As we already mentioned, this redesign will bring a lot of novelties. First of all, the new 2023 Ford Everest will continue to ride on the good-old T6 platform and once again, most of the parts will be shared with Ranger, which is also coming completely redesigned for the next year. Still, the familiar platform doesn’t mean that we won’t be seeing significant updates. This particularly refers to the chassis and suspension setup, which will provide a much better ride quality than before, without sacrificing off-road performance and overall utility.

Naturally, this redesign will also bring a completely new styling. The new generation has already been presented and you can see a classic SUV shape, which isn’t significantly different compared to the previous generation. Still, the front end is completely new and it closely resembles the new Ranger. It’s also worth mentioning that the new model features slightly bigger dimensions, including a 2-inch longer wheelbase.

Interior

Of course, this redesign also brings a completely new interior design. Compared to the outgoing model, everything looks way more upscale. The dashboard looks nicer and also utilizes higher-quality materials. You can also notice lots of new tech features, including the new, super-massive infotainment screen, along with the digital instrument cluster.

Besides much better quality, the longer wheelbase should also provide a little bit more space on the inside. This particularly refers to the third row of seats, which should offer a little bit more legroom. Furthermore, the cargo area should offer a little bit more space. On the other hand, the first and second rows of seats shouldn’t bring bigger changes in this aspect.

2023 Ford Everest Engine

Big changes are coming under the hood. The 2023 Ford Everest will drop the good-old 3.2-liter turbodiesel. Instead, base models will come with a familiar 2.0-liter inline-four turbodiesel, which puts out around 154kW and 500Nm of torque. The engine comes coupled with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Also, there is a new, 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel, which was powering the F-150 until recently. That engine puts out around 184 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque. Just like the turbo-four unit, it also comes in pair with a 10-speed automatic.

In both cases, the max towing capacity will go around 3.500 kg.

Features

As we’ve just mentioned, the 2023 Ford Everest will bring a lot of new features. All models will come with an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. Also, base models will feature a 10.1-inch touchscreen, while the bigger 12.0-inch unit will be reserved for higher trim levels. Another big novelty is that the steering wheel will finally get height and reach adjustments, compared to the previous generation that featured a tilt-only unit.

The new model will also come with lots of new safety features, including 9 airbags. You may also count on new crash avoidance systems such as blind zone warning and rear cross-traffic alert.

2023 Ford Everest Release Date and Price

We expect that the new generation will hit the market this fall. The Australian model will feature a starting price of around 53.000 dollars. Key competitors are models like Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport etc.
