The popular crossover is slowly entering the second production year and as you may presume, no one expects to see any particular changes. The second generation is still very fresh for bigger modifications and the best we could see are some smaller tweaks in terms of standard and available equipment. Other than that, things are about to remain the same. The 2021 Nissan Juke will continue with the same design characteristics and features.
This means you may count on a typical Juke approach, which characterized the original version too. Once again, one of the key characteristics is the styling, which looks pretty attractive. Also, you may count on good driving experience, with lots of agility, as well as on one of the nicest interiors in the class. All in all, there aren’t many rivals in the segment that can deliver the amount of quality this model does.
2021 Nissan Juke Redesign
In terms of base design characteristics, the 2021 Nissan Juke will carry on in the same way. The second generation sticks to a proven formula, which combines attractive styling with engaging handling. Mechanically, the new model has most things in common with the fifth generation of Renault Clio. Of course, we are talking about the latest version of the well-known CMF architecture and in this case, the wheelbase is nearly four inches longer. This makes the new model more spacious and more practical than before, but not less maneuverable, as you would probably think.
Styling-wise, the best we could see in the 2021 Nissan Juke is the addition of some new color options. The rest of the vehicle will remain the same. Therefore, we are about to see a design that follows the path of the original. Key styling elements are still there, including two lighting groups on each side of the front end, as well as other funky elements. However, the new model seems a little bit toned down. This is even beneficial in some way, considering that the original styling was a little bit polarizing.
Interior
Once again, we don’t expect to see more important changes. The new cabin looks really amazing and it’s definitely among the most appealing in the segment. The area around the gear shifter resembles the original models, while the dashboard is notably different. It includes a new, tablet-like touchscreen, as well as a new design of climate controls. Due to a longer wheelbase, there is notably more room in the back, so we can say adult passengers can comfortably accommodate.
Besides solid overall quality, the cabin is also equipped pretty well. This particularly refers to safety features. Higher trim levels come equipped with goodies like adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking etc.
2021 Nissan Juke Engines
While the previous generation was available with a plethora of engine options, the current model currently comes with just one engine in the offer. It is a new 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder, which is good for about 115 horsepower. Driving dynamics are quite decent for this segment. A great thing to know is that you can choose between a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
In the last couple of months, we’ve been hearing all kinds of reports that were suggesting new powertrain options. This includes rumors about the hybrid powertrain. However, the company is still quiet about new powertrain options, so it looks we will have to wait for a little more to see some form of electrification.
2021 Nissan Juke Release Date and Price
Considering that there are no bigger changes to come for the next year, we expect to see 2021 Nissan Juke’s debut in December. Changes in prices aren’t expected either, so base models should go under 15.000 GBP in England.
